Some of our favourite places:
If you have visited Tobermory before, you will have
your own favourites but first time visitors will quickly find their way
around the Isle of Mull. We have shown Margo on the 3rd tee at Tobermory
Golf Club , Jim in a quiet corner in the 'Mish',and
the Ulva Ferry.
Also worth visiting is the tranquil Calgary Bay with its expansive beach
of silver sand.

Ulva is worth a visit and the food
in The Boathouse is always very good. You must also go and visit Sheila
in her croft. To reach Ulva Ferry from Tobermory, take the Dervaig
road. This is only one of the stunning views you will encounter as
you approach Dervaig.

|
|
| Further on is the tranquil Calgary
Bay, with its expansive beach of silver sand. This is always popular
with adults and children but never seems to be crowded. |
 |
 |
| The journey from here then takes you
down the west coast of Mull and even more stunning scenery. When you
arrive at Ulva Ferry, don't worry if you have not booked. Just use
the unique signalling system. Your 'Captain' for the short Existing
crossing will probably be Donald Munro, who provides the service all
year round. |

|
| This is one view looking from Ulva
to Mull. One of many spectacular waterfalls. |
 |
 |
| For many, visiting Iona - the spiritual
home of St Columba and of Scottish Christianity - is a must. There
is a regular passenger ferry service from Fionnphort. From here, an
enjoyable boat trip to the Isle of Staffa, takes in abundant sea life
and the spectacular rock formations of Fingal's Cave. The drive to
Fionnphort takes you through the wild but beautiful Ross of Mull.

On the return journey, heading north just after Pennyghael takes
you around the base of Ben More. The drive along the edge of Loch
na Keal has some great scenery. From Gruline, there is a choice
of returning to Tobermory by heading across to Salen. Alternatively,
continue north along the coast and then take the road from Fanmore
to Dervaig. This is one of the many views you will be greeted with.
Mull really is a spectacular island and it is worth visiting our

to see what previous visitors have said. We think you will be impressed.
